• In　Japan，postmortem　imaging　is　generally　referred　as“Autopsy　imaging（Ai）”．Many　hospitals have　conducted　Ai　with　clinical　CT　to　determine　causes　of　death　as　alternative　to　an　autopsy．Recently，some　universities　have　introduced　imaging　modalities，e．g．CT　and　MRI，for tmortem examinations．The　present　state　and　future　of　Ai was　briefly　reviewed．
