The outcome of a questionnaire on the postoperative quality of life (QOL) in 78 patients with gastric cancer who had undergone total gastrectomy was reported. Over 90% of the patients were good or fair in QOL. Over than 60% of them, however, suffered from various postgastrectomy complications which required pertinent treatments.
